Kyary Pamyu Pamyu

I’ve heard this single around some but just saw her perform for the first time on Kohaku (the famous annual NHK new years music program). I have to admit, she is pretty awesome. Original at least — you can say that.

Just got finished with “Imperial Ambitions: Conversations on the Post-9/11 World.” It is a collection of edited interviews with Noam Chomsky by David Barsamian. Not horrible, but I like Chomsky’s written stuff a bit more. It had some pretty interesting stuff though.

In other news, both the wifey and princess came down with the norovirus (which is running rampant in Tokyo right now), but oddly enough, it has been about two days and I’m not feeling any significant symptoms yet. Considering I had done a decent bit of, um, cleaning up after the princess, it’s kind of beyond believe if I don’t get it. That leaves three possibilities: either I’m insanely lucky (which I’m not ever), the symptoms are just taking a bit longer than average, or I managed to get some sort of temporarily, frail immunity from the last time I caught it about two years back. I guess we will see sometime by tomorrow morning.

By the way, I have caught the norovirus twice in my life and it is probably one of the most miserable sicknesses I have ever had. I still have particular restaurants I can’t even go in anymore because I had gone when I was trying to recover, and my brain has made some kind of unconscious connection with that nauseousness. Absolutely horrible.
